How to Connect Your Google Business Profile to TLB

Purpose

Link your Google account and select the correct business so TLB can read your public GBP data (categories, hours, photos, reviews, etc.) to display status and enable the app’s core features.

Prerequisites

  • You can sign in to the Google account that manages your business on business.google.com
  • Your business is visible in Google Business Profile (claimed or unclaimed)

Steps

1) Open the connection screen

  • In the app, go to Business Setup → Google Business Profile
  • Tap Connect Google Account

2) Sign in with the correct Google account

  • If you manage multiple businesses/emails, use the one that has Manager or Owner access to the listing

3) Grant requested permissions

  • Accept the scopes shown. These are needed to read/manage your GBP data through the official APIs

4) Pick the correct business

  • After sign‑in, you’ll see a list of businesses associated with that Google account
  • Select the exact location you want to connect

5) Confirm the connection

  • Wait a few seconds for the first sync
  • You should see the Business Status (Claimed & Verified / Claimed, Not Verified / Unclaimed)

Troubleshooting

  • I don’t see my business after logging in
    • You are likely using the wrong Google account. Log out and sign in with the email that manages your GBP
    • If the listing is managed by an agency or ex‑employee, request access on Google’s help flow (Owner/Manager request)
  • Permissions denied
    • Re‑run the connection and allow all requested scopes; otherwise, the profile cannot be read/updated
  • Multiple locations share the same name
    • Check the address line and Store code (if used) to select the correct one

Notes

  • If the listing is Unclaimed, claim it in Google before continuing (otherwise some data/controls will be limited)
  • If the listing is Claimed, Not Verified, complete verification (see the verification article) to unlock full controls
